Singer, songwriter and Louisiana slide guitar phenom Sonny Landreth’s first studio album in five years unites his band with a who’s who of musical guests for a set of all-original roots rock tinged with the blues and New Orleans soul. Featured guitarists and vocalists include Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Vince Gill, Eric Johnson, Robben Ford, Dr. John and Jimmy Buffett.

Spotlight customer reviews:
Customer Rating: Summary: Breakthrough Album Comment: I've been a Sonny fan for a long time, but always felt like he was hovering just below the surface of "big time"...he's breached it like a whale with this album.
Customer Rating: Summary: Real Music! Comment: Wow! If you like really good rock with a heavy blues influence this is definitely worth putting in your collection. Guest artists like Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton , and Vince Gill just add to the gumbo that this Louisiana musician serves up. Good music still lives!
Customer Rating: Summary: From The Reach Comment: Sonny Landreth is one of the best guitarist / song wrighter of our time. His influences he chose to do duets with are spot on
Customer Rating: Summary: fresh sounding Landreth with great guests Comment: sonny's playing is always stellar, and this is no exception. the song arrangements are very good, and even though the cd has Ford, Clapton, Ford, Johnson, and others, Sonny by no means take a back seat. I enjoyed this as much as Live from Grant Street...
Customer Rating: Summary: Unexpected Gem Comment: I've been impressed with Sonny Landreth for some time. He has extraordinary technical skills and demonstrates them with fret work that is incredible. The pleasant surprise here is that he slows the pace a bit and counts on the melody and words of the songs to carry the day. For me, this works perfectly. I continue to hear extraordinary guitar work, but find myself enjoying the songs more. I also like the artists he pairs up with on this CD, especially the Vince Gill cuts.
