Measuring 2.7 x 1.0 x 0.9 inches and weighing a mere 0.3 ounces, you'll barely know that the Discovery 925 is in your ear. But with its striking onyx-black and silver color combination and minimalist features, this one-of-a-kind earpiece will surely get you noticed--in a good way. It features a filtered glass bead that's been blasted and anodized for a ceramic high-gloss elegant finish. The ultra-lightweight design offers a secure comfortable fit so you can stay connected hands-free for hours. And the earpiece includes three uniquely shaped gel eartips--small, medium and large--that are designed to conform snugly to the contours of your ear without the need for an earloop stabilizer, so nothing will interfere with earrings or eyewear. Summary: Very well designed bluetooth headset
Comment: I owned a previous Plantronics headset (the Voyager) which was excellent and this current one is of similar caliber. I've been using the headset for skype (on a mac) and cell phone calls.
Some issues:
(1) the ear insert irritates my ear a little. I probably need to change the size or reposition it.
(2) I have trouble getting bluetooth on OS X to connect to the headset. Not sure why but the issue happens at home and not the office. The office machine has a dedicated headset while the home machine has a headset used for both cell and skype calls. There is no problem with cell phone calls. So this could be a multi-point issue or a protocol issue with the way that the mac interfaces with the headset.
Otherwise, this is excellent and highly recommended. Light weight, comfortable and simple to use. Three volume settings only but that seems fine. The sound quality is very good.

Comment: My wife and I have noticed that when we RECEIVE a call from somebody using a bluetooth headset, they are very tough to understand, so we've avoided buying one.
We've tried using the speakerphone feature of our Motorola Razrs, and also the speakerphone feature of our Garmin GPS devices in our cars--but speakerphones just don't don't cut it--they pick up too much road noise.
I listen to Leo Laporte (the tech guy) via podcast and radio, and he has always been much of the same opinion: that there is NO bluetooth headset that really works well--until now.
He just reviewed the Plantronics 925, and said it's the first one he would actually recommend. We bought 2 of them, and he's right. We're very happy with them.
Sound quality is great on both ends of the conversation--I think the the fact that the boom mic reaches farther toward your mouth helps a lot. The device is unbelievably light, and will stay in your ear without any wraparound hook or clip. The case that comes with it has a battery in it, and can be used as an emergency charger if you don't happen to have the charger cord with you.
We couldn't ask for more.

Comment: I purchased this Plantonics bluetooth earpiece because I really liked the last one I had (different style). But this style falls short of what I had expected. The sound quality is poor... unless I am in a quiet environment, it is difficult to understand the person on the other end. Comfort is the other major issue... I never seem to quite get it like I want it... if I adjust it where it is comfortable, I cannot hear, and vice-versa. Lastly, the controls are not nearly as intuitive as my last Plantronics unit I had...
Overall, I have found this earpiece to be a disappointment and have just about stopped using it.

Comment: This product is about what I expected. Pretty good sound quality, and I like the battery case to charge while in my brief. Mike could break in a pocket so be careful. At the end of the day, I don't really like any of the bluetooth headsets. I wish one had a separate amplifier inside so that they would work better in loud environments like airports.

Summary: great bt headset
Comment: i order this headset two months ago and its been working great since then. i'm not to big on wearing a headset, but living in california and with the recent law requiring a hands-free handset, it was one of the main reason why i got this headset. i read all the good reviews on apple's site, but they were charging full price, but thanks to amazon low price and great reviews on here as well i just made the purchase.
i use this with my iphone and it works flawlessly. the sound quality is wonderful, the fit is comfortable once you find the gel fitting that is best for your ear. the headset is really light weight too, i barely notice i have it on and i can have it one for hours too. the fit of the headset is good too, i have not once had it fall out of my ear during the two months i have had it one.
the battery life is great, i used it through out the day and not have had any problems. the charger case is great too, when i forget to charge my headset the night before, it comes in handy.
the really nice feature that i did not know about is the multipoint. this feature allows you to pair two devices with this headset, which comes in handy in my case. i have my iphone and just got a new work phone that has bt and i can use both with it. i can have both phone's bt on and the take calls on either phone w/o having to turn off bt on one or the other phone. the multipoint was kind of a pain for me to get to work, but once i got it to work it is a really nice feature if you have 2 phones you need to use daily. one bit of advice is to pair one of the phone first, then follow the instruction to enable multi point, then pair the 2nd phone.
i recommended this headset to my friend aswell and he really like it too.
