Meet Jennifer a documentary filmmaker with a vivid fantasy life and a floundering career. Jennifer wants to find Ms. Right but first she must navigate the rules of lesbian life most of which she learns the hard way. Fortunately her friends are there to help: Sam a sexy commitment phobe who flips women faster than real estate; Chris and Kris a lesbian couple expanding both their pet accessory business and their family; and Crutch a young musician who wants to be taken seriously but still has some growing up to do. Spotlight customer reviews:
Customer Rating: Summary: Worth buying Comment: It's safe to say that this show it not up to par with the L Word, which sets the benchmark for other lesbian shows. However, I still enjoyed watching Exs and Ohs as it provided quite a few laughs and it kept me interested enough to watch it twice and look forward to the next season. The plots are more light-hearted than serious, but it doesn't take away from its value. If you don't mind some comedy with a few cheesy/cute moments then you will like this series.
Customer Rating: Summary: Quirky and Funny Comment: I bought the dvd after amazon recommended it, based on my recent purchase of the L-word series, and was pleasantly surprises. The entire season fits onto one disk, so the episodes are short, but surprisingly entertaining. A bit exxagerated, but most topics and situations are very real and the characters, very, very believeable. I found this tv series and the main character especially, to be delightfully charming and real.
Customer Rating: Summary: Simplicity makes good television Comment: I was skeptical when I saw a preview for this show Online. Then again, I decided I wouldn't be ignorant about it and just watch at least one episode. Boy, did I fool myself long enough? I absolutely love this show. I love it's simplicity. It's easy to follow each of the characters and their lives without being overloaded with useless story lines. Example: The L Word. Whoever reviewed this show saying they only watched it because there is lesbians in it, is a stupid remark. That's like me saying I only watch this show because Bob has black hair. Nevertheless, if you like watching The L Word, then you'll absolutely love this show!
Less is more.
Customer Rating: Summary: Since I've already seen it when it aired...BTW: When the hell is the 2nd season starting?! Comment: I love this show, I had to buy it right up. The struggles of Jen&Sam sometimes has an underlying (Can you say TiBette? Very good, indeed) "I still am in-love with you, but you have these issues that keep us so close yet so far apart" makes the show worth watching over and over again.
I am (The L Word) Bette/Tina Shipper. And (Exes&Ohs) Sam/Jen Shipper, also. So, if the people behind this show is reading this? I represent a multitude of others...who just aren't writing their own reviews.
Customer Rating: Summary: Hugs & Kisses are cool. Comment: I bought Exes an Ohs with no expectations. I actually wondered how LWord influeneced it was going to be. It was light hearted and fun. Nice to see a series that's driven from a different perspective - looking forward to season 2.
