Faced a little hiccup during printer driver installation (turned out to be because of a bad USB cable, nothing wrong with product). Just because Canon does not supply USB cable with printer, I had to purchase a new one from Fry's. After driver installation when I plugged in the USB cable into my PC, it gave "USB device not recognized". Being tech savvy, I thought it might be a Vista compatibility issue or a printer issue - I suspected and checked everything else except USB cable. Canon support forced me to try another USB cable - that's when I found out. Canon and Amazon support were prompt and helpful. With the good cable, installation was over before I knew it. I followed the step by step instructions slowly and carefully and when I fired it up everything that I have used works perfectly. I haven't used the fax and seldom will. My home office use is primarily print, copy, and scan. My wife is an elementary school teacher and uses the printer and copier a lot but so do I. Lots of function, great price and in a nice sized package. I wanted a single printer that multiple computers in the house could print to easily. The printer was very easy to setup and connect to my home network, now we can print from wherever we are in the house. The speed is good and the print quality is excellent.
