Summary: A signal 20 feet underground
Comment: I was very impressed by this Cell Phone Booster. I live in an underground, concrete dome home. Getting a cell phone signal in the house was all but impossible unless I stood outside on the porch or by a front window. With this wireless booster, I know have a signal through all 5000 square feet. It isn't an overwhelmingly strong signal throughout the house, but it works. I don't need 5 bars to make a call. Just one will do. And you live in a place that doesn't get even get that, you appreciate every bit of signal you can get.

I used an existing cable that ran from the interior of the house to the "roof". Our roof is about 10-15" feet deep of earth. On the roof I planted a six foot tall post, zip-tied the antenna and cable to it and went back into the house. Attached the other end of the cable to the booster, turned it on, and I had a signal inside a concrete and steel structure 20 feet underground. Very cool!

I highly recommend this booster.

Summary: Having trouble with this product.
Comment: I purchased this product because the cell phone reception in my house is horrible. Before I bought the product I climbed on the roof and verified that I had three bars and good call clarity. I fist tried mounting the antenna the peak of the roof line with the base unit in the basement. Didn't seems to work too well. My coax ran within 4" and perpendicular to a 110V power line, so I repositioned the coax to emlimante this interference with no improvement, sometimes I would get a little better signal but not really a usable signal. So I went out and bought an antenna mount with a 10 foot mast and mounted the antenna at the peak of the roof, I placed the base station in the basement on the floor. This is as much vertical seperation as I can legally have as I am limited in antenna height, this is at least 25 feet of vertical seperation. I still cannot figure out the blinking lights on the base unit after reading the manual several times as they all blink in various patterns pretty much constantly. I don't think there is anything else I can do to improve the installation per the instructions. Now sometimes I get pretty good reception standing by the base unit (3 bars) and about 2 bars on my main floor but other times the system does not appear to be functioning at all. The system seems to be really flakey in the fact that it works sometimes okay but other time not really at all. I have to say I am dissapointed because I spent allot of time trying to get the system installed correctly with poor results and the unit was very expensive without good results, I pretty much feel like I wasted $300.

Summary: Works well - just dont expect an instant full signal - READ
Comment: This product does exactly what it says it will do. To a point... read on...

There are a couple situations where you would want a device like this...

1) Strong full signal outside, but your walls are blocking nearly all signal from getting inside, perhaps you have aluminum siding. In this case with full signal outside you should expect full signal to be repeated indoors. In this situation, external antenna placement is easy since you should be getting full signal anywhere you place the antenna. You may even be able to get away with putting the antenna on a window inside your house.

2) My situation - weak signal outside. I can barely only get 2 bars (out of 4 on my LG VX8700 - verizon). Indoors i usually only had 1 or 0 bars and calls would frequenly drop. Upon placing calls if i somehow had 2 bars, it would immediately drop to zero bars and take 20 or 30 seconds to actually place the call.

Antenna placement is trickier here, you should do some test runs to see where the best signal is outside. This is not always the closest spot on your house/apartment in the direction of the nearest tower or even the highest spot. Temporarily securing the antenna outside and then running the cable to the base station inside the house is how i tested functionality. In this case also, base station locating is important as with a weaker signal you will have better results depending on where you place the base station. In my case, my best antenna location was on the far side of the house (go figure) and just at the roof level, not 20 feet up.

Results: I now have a solid 2 and 3 bars throughout the house. I do not drop bars when placing calls. Calls go through instantly and do not drop. *** Do not expect full signal inside if you dont have full signal outside!!!***

The goal here was usable cellular signal inside the house and this product delivered it. Furthermore once they do build another tower closer to me, the antenna will still help boost whatever signal i get there and hopefully i will have full signal inside my house.

I do not believe the 'inside the house' mounting of the antenna will give adequate results. be fully prepared to have to mount this outside and run the cable inside.

also if you have next to no signal outside, do not expect this to do much for you. i would certainly give it a shot but there needs to be an existing signal to amplify for this device to do anything useful

Summary: Don't waste your money!
Comment: We had high hopes for this expensive little wall hanging but alas they were to be dashed on the rocks of wasted money. We live out in the country and can get 1 bar at the end of our home. We can even get one bar in the living room by our window, as can our friends and family so we were sure this booster would help us and ordered it. Well it has not helped at all. You may get a few bars but it doesnt' hold the signal long enough for you to call out much less complete a call.

This is a lot of money to not work at all, and they make grand claims that if you can get 1 bar then they can boost your signal. Sad to say it didn't work in our neck of the woods.

Summary: Glad I got this product!
Comment: Got to give this product a big thumbs up! Got it to help out in our kitchen/den area. It is a complete deadzone (0 to 1 bar of signal with T-Mobile).

First thing you need to do is make sure that SOMEWHERE within reach of the cable you can get a good cell signal. This is done simply by walking around with your cell phone in hand.

I found I got 4 bars just outside the garage so I setup device and ran cable WITHOUT putting any holes in walls initially-just to make sure it worked.

Setup was quick and easy. Attach attenna to device, attached cable to device, plug device power in and vola, you are up and running. We immediately began getting 3-4 bars in the Kitchen.

Next I drilled hole in kitchen wall (be sure to look for studs before you drill), ran cable into garage, along garage wall, and then drilled hole to outside of house. After running cable, I mounted anttena to metal rain gutter using included mounting bracket (it is black while the antenna is white - that did not make any sense) which worked fine.

Whole project took about 1.5 hours to complete and I needed no hardware other than what was included in package. In addition, you need a drill and
