Editorial Reviews:

The Kodak Carousel Transvue 80 slide tray holds up to 80 1/16-inch slides--cardboard mounted only. Several easy-to-use, peel-away labels are included so you can identify and index your slides. The tray is translucent gray for easy slide-number identification. This tray isn't compatible with Kodak S-Series or Kodak Ektagraphic S-AV2000, S-AV2030, or S-AV2050 models.

Summary: Info on Which Kodak Tray Type Will Work Best With Your Slides
Comment: Trying to decide between the two popular 80 capacity trays Kodak produced? The Ektagraphic Universal trays and the Transvue BT80 trays are both designed to work with the exact same projectors. The latch mechanism design is a little different on them but both types work well, are durable, and both are "Universal" (they both fit the exact same Carousel and Ektagraphic III projector models). The only real difference is the color, so if you prefer black buy the Ektagraphic Universal tray, if you prefer gray buy the BT80 (Transvue) trays.

If you are considering the Kodak 140 capacity trays and your slides are more than 20 years old it can be a bit of a gamble. Many slide types, especially the Kodak cardboard mounts that were so popular for decades, will normally warp just a little with age. When this happens they will still work fine in the 80 capacity trays but tend to jam occasionally (or often depending on the degree of the warp) when used in the 140 capacity tray. So if you have cardboard or plastic mounted slides (and you would like for them to work dependably for years to come) it is safer to stick with the 80 capacity trays.

Comment: I have been using this tray from Kodak for the past 20 years. I have not found any faults with the tray. I use 2x2 slides which have been professionaly mounted. I have some slides which date back to 1955 and am still showing them.
